Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) is
an open de facto standard for electronic document distribution
worldwide. Some of the material you can download in this website
is in pdf file format.
Pdf files are denoted by this grey icon. To view these files you
will need Adobe Acrobat, or Adobe Acrobat Reader
installed, which is available to download for free.
Just click the yellow button on the left to visit the Adobe site
where you can download Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is quick, free
and easy to do and you will only have to do it once. If you are
using a school computer, you may wish to check with your school
IT department first.
Using standard Adobe settings, you
can browse through the material. Please note that depending
on the time of day and the speed of your connection to the Internet,
it may take several minutes to download some of the files. If your
screen freezes, please check if your school computers have an automatic
cut off time. You may see just a white screen for a couple
of minutes but the files should be downloading even though you cannot
see anything happening.
You can print and save the files for
personal/classroom use. Please note that all the material included
in these files is copyrighted to Hodder Arnold and is not for further
distribution without the permission of the publishers.
Should you have any problems or questions
regarding the downloading of these files, or related procedures,
please do not hesitate to email the webmaster: rachel.monk@hodder.co.uk
